Hurricane Michael Makes Landfall in Florida Panhandle

WEB Hurricane Michael slammed into the Florida Panhandle near Tyndall Air Force Base (AFB) around 1:30 pm on Wednesday, making landfall as the first Category 5 hurricane on record to hit the region.

As Michael continues to move inland, a Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for the area from the Suwanee River to Chassahowitzka, Florida. The storm is expected to bring heavy rainfall and potentially life-threatening flooding.
